Current Research

I am working toward efficient directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells (PSCs). Previous work has shown that multiple signal transduction pathways are involved in a temporally and spatially fixed manner during developmental stages of embryonic stem cell differentiation. I aim to utilize techniques developed in our laboratory for non-viral transfection within cell aggregates to manipulate regulatory genes in PSCs known to interact with critical signal transduction to determine cell fate in pluripotent cell aggregates.
