Investigating the Conditional Essentiality of Human Genes

Our lab is broadly interested in understanding how environmental factors influence basic cell physiology, gene essentiality, and drug activity. We investigate these questions using a highly multidisciplinary approach that combines principles of biology and engineering to apply innovative tools and concepts. By achieving our broad objectives, we will uncover new targetable vulnerabilities in human cancers and leverage our findings to propose new cancer treatment strategies that incorporate either the direct modulation of environmental factors or the use of immunotherapies with improved efficacy.
