Current Research

I am working on identifying multi-omic profiles hPSC-CMs throughout differentiation and maturation to develop sets of critical quality attributes that can be used for their real-time monitoring in biomanufacturing processes. Allowing for larger scale production of these cells, such methods will facilitate the clinical translation of stem-cell based CM therapies and in vitro drug discovery and/or disease modeling efforts. Further implications of this work include greater understanding of the developmental biology of differentiating cardiomyocytes and subsequent methods to improve current differentiation and maturation processes.
