Fellowships

BTP trainees often receive other fellowship support from campus or federal sources during their time as doctoral students, such as the Wisconsin Distinguished Graduate Fellowships (WDGF) and National Science Foundation Research Fellowships. Of trainees who joined BTP in the last 15 years, 64 of them (41%) received additional fellowship support during their time as graduate students, and eight trainees were supported by more than one additional fellowship.

Note: BTP courses and programs may include other domestic or foreign students, but their support must be provided by other sources. These students can request participation in BTP at any time of the year, and these requests are approved after review by the Executive Committee. These students must still meet all program requirements.
