Industry Supporters

BTP internships are planned with our array of industry partners. The internship experience fosters an understanding and appreciation of the complex problems being addressed by the biotechnology industry. It also provides additional research opportunities and first-hand experience in interdisciplinary problem solving. Below you can see a list of our industry supporters — companies and organizations that have hosted a BTP intern in the last 15 years. For more information about BTP internships contact Sarah Jacob at sjacob2@wisc.edu.

The required internship is only one way that trainees interact with industry experts. Other opportunities are the annual Winter Banquet, speakers from industry, and additional opportunities for interchange.

A message to our current and potential industry supporters: The BTP office keeps information on file to assist the trainees in finding and selecting an internship, and welcomes additional information from our industrial partners. Emails describing potential internship projects can be sent to the BTP office for distribution to program trainees at any time of year. Previous industry internship supervisors have often commented on the high level of performance by BTP trainees, and seek them for future internships and employment. Additionally, researchers from industry are an important part of the student seminar series and we welcome interested individuals from industry to reach out about the opportunities to meet with students. BTP looks forward to hearing from you.
