Publications
Publications are a key way for trainees to establish themselves in their careers and their potential to advance the field of biotechnology. The collaborative environment and interdisciplinary approach of BTP aids trainees in publishing innovative research, and students graduate with a set of publications that serve as a key indicator of their success. Trainees who graduated in the past 15 years had 5.8 publications on average, and 2.6 of these were first-author publications.
Below is a selection of BTP trainees and their research publications based on their research at UW–Madison and immediately following graduation.

BTP Publication Citations and Associated PMC Links at PubMed / NCBI
As result of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Public Access Policy adopted in 2008, BTP publications in the above list which were published after early 2008 are freely available to any researcher or student. Look for the “Free PMC Article” link within the citation.
All publications resulting from research at BTP must acknowledge BTP in the publication and also must be deposited into PMC.
