Engineering broadly-applicable CAR T Cells for Autoimmune Disease
I set out to engineer and characterize a non-viral CAR-T cell product that may be deployed to treat
various auto-immune conditions by directly targeting cells involved in tissue destruction and the proinflammatory
environment that supports the maintenance of autoimmune disease. Our approach will
selectively eliminate cells involved in maintaining autoimmunity, while concurrently addressing cells that
support the inflammatory microenvironment.
